Cocktail Hour – Hot Buttered Fig Bourbon

This week’s cocktail is a quintessential autumnal libation, and very cozy and delicious.

There’s a few steps to this recipe, but it’s totally worth it.

Hot Buttered Fig Bourbon 

based on the recipe from Front & Main

1 shot of bourbon

2 fresh figs, quartered                                                           1 sprig of rosemary

Dash of nutmeg                                                                    1 tbsp of butter, softened

pinch of cloves                                                                      dash of cinnamon

dash of ginger                                                                       1 tsp of honey

pinch of salt                                                                          1/2 cup apple cider

Mix softened butter with the nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, honey, and salt. Place butter in the bottom of a mug. In a shaker, add bourbon, figs, rosemary (crushed), and nutmeg, and muddle. Strain bourbon mixture over the butter. Heat apple cider until piping hot. Pour hot cider into mug over bourbon and butter. Enjoy!
