The Moscow mule has been making a resurgence lately along with many other classic cocktails. Born in the 1940’s, and popularized in the vodka crazy 1950’s, it is classically service in a copper mug. However, with the price of copper this days, a Tom Collins or highball glass will do just fine.
The Moscow Mule is light and refreshing with a zing from the ginger beer. It will be the perfect compliment to your pre-summer barbeques this weekend. To look stylish drinking your mule, I’ve got some great patriotic outfits in the my latest post at The Styleshack.
- 1/2 oz Lime juice
- 2 oz vodka
- 4 –6 oz ginger beer
Squeeze lime juice into a Collins glass (or Moscow Mule mug) then drop the lime in the glass. Add 2 or 3 ice cubes, then pour in the vodka and fill with cold ginger beer (not ginger ale, although what the hell). Serve with a stirring rod.
