Wedding season is in full swing, so I’ll be doing a series of posts on what to wear to all your wedding related activities.
Today’s post is dedicated to the mother of the groom. My best friend has the joyous event of her son’s wedding coming up, so she asked for some help accessorizing her outfits.
She picked this great dress from Talbots for the bridal shower. I love this dress. It’s tailored, and understated, but not dowdy. It’s crisp and professional, without being overly feminine (although the v-neck, and nipped in waist show your curves). And, it truly can be worn on other occasions, especially work-related.
Initially, she was going to choose a navy shoe, but to me that’s very old school. The nude shoe (which she ultimately chose) is more modern. If you wanted a pop of color, I think the coral is a fresh option.
I have some neutral accessory options and some coral options. Keep in mind, you can do all neutral accessories, but I wouldn’t do all coral accessories. It would just look too matchy-matchy. Use the coral sparingly.
Show us what you got. Post your best shower or MOG looks in the comments or send us an email.
