Ok, so you’ll notice that I wore the same pair of shoes two days in a row. Why? Because I really like them. They have a bit of a heel, but a still kind of casual, and the print is fun. And once I got the inspiration for today’s outfit, I thought the shoes would add a funky touch, and I just picture any other pair adding quite the same feeling.
So, yesterday, I knew I wanted to wear these shoes this week, and I had worn this outfit to my niece’s orchestra concert on Sunday. Easy. The black is a good back drop to the patterned shoes, but the cardigan provide a nice pop of color.
I have a hot date after work at the planetarium with Katie and Molly, so I wanted to be casual, which lead to the jeans. Then I thought, what can I layer under the shirt?: fun bright tank from Old Navy. I thought it would be great to add a belt, because I typically don’t wear belts. But admittedly, I don’t own belts (thus why I don’t wear them). Then I remembered I had this belt that came with a shirt I bought last year. Final touch: the shoes. I just thought they would add a funky touch along with the bright green. I like it, and thinks it’s a little out of the box for me.
What have you tried wearing recently that’s “out of the box” for you?
