I usually don’t post outfits on the weekends, but I think this one is a good one (along with the one from last night, but unfortunately didn’t get a picture of it. I’ll have to recreate it for you sometime soon). I’m having dinner with my family today, so just trying to come up with something appropriate. And once again it’s freaking cold out.
I initially was thinking about just throwing on a turtleneck sweater with these pants and top another cardigan over it. BUT, I am so over turtlenecks and sweaters, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. But, how to create something stylish but still warm, without sweaters. Layers.
I know I just wore this t-shirt on Friday, but I think the color is a nice compliment to the olive-green. It’s fresh and springy vs. the brown I was going to were. And it bring a feminine touch to the masculine cargo pants. Back to the layers. I wore the t-shirt over a beige long-sleeved tee (you can’t really tell, but it’s more for warmth than looks), and topped everything off with my favorite jean jacket (maybe you didn’t realize this, but I’m obsessed with jean jackets).
Brown suede wedge loafers, and gold and brown accessories complete the outfit. I have to say I am a little proud of myself for resurrecting these brown bracelets. They had been buried at the bottom of my jewelry case, but in my spring cleaning frenzy, I relocated them to the hanging jewelry organizer, so I can see them front and center. So, here they are. I made both of them in my jewelry making days, and I still like them.
Hope you had an enjoyable weekend. I know I did!
