There was quite a bit of closet gazing this morning trying to figure out what to wear. Mostly it went like this “should I wear the khakis today or should I wear jeans? I always wear jeans, I need to wear something else. It might be too cold for khakis, what would I wear with them. Or should I wear the cargos? I wear those a lot, maybe I should save them for later in the week.”
I chose the olive cargos. To mix it up, I wore this white button down, trying to bring in a little spring piece. I rarely where button downs, but I really like this one from Kohls. The cotton is heavy enough, so it’s not see through (some white cotton shirts are so thin you can practically see through them). The sleeves are rolled up to the elbow, which resolves my short-arm issue, and it also gives it a more casual feel.
I layered the brown zip up sweater over the shirt. Keeping it un-zipped extends it’s life from just a sweater to a sweater jacket. Another pair of Liz Claiborne flats. This time they are a patent mettalic with a animal print embellishment. Gold and brown accessories add the finishing touch.
