She fooled us. She got us right where she wanted us; melting snow until it’s almost gone, sun shining, clear blue sky, 50 degrees; thinking there’s a spring light at the end of the wintry tunnel. Then Mother Nature sucker punched us with another round of snow and ice. Sigh.
So, as I sit here eating some Thin Mints (thanks Miss Meier! 🙂 ), and watching “It’s Good to Be President” on the History channel (sometime I’ll share with you my fascination about the office of the Presidency), I’ll share with you what I wore today.
Like I said it was pretty crappy out, so I went casual today. I’ve got to tell you I really like this sweater. I’m so glad I took the chance, seeing it on the clearance rack at Kohl’s, to try it on. It’s a good weight, not too bulky, but thick enough to be warm. Almost a jacket, with a zipper front and snaps. The texture at the shoulders and chest, and the over-sized closures provide the visual interest. The short sleeves are a little tricky, but layered over a long sleeved t-shirt, it still keeps me warm.
The $10 cargos are back in action (pretty sure I’ve already got my money’s worth on these), along with the cable knit topped suede boots (I choose these boots because, while they are suede, they have a rubber sole, so walking on snow and ice is a little safer). Finished off the look with simple gold accessories.
Here’s looking forward to the hasty arrival of Spring!
