What I Wore Today

Still cold and snowy today, so I pulled out my one of favorite sweaters. You may remember this teal cowl neck sweater from my “Wardrobe Basic: Jeans” post. I found it at Kohl’s last year when I was beefing up my sweater wardrobe. It has an asymetrical cable design, and it’s soft and warm. It’s been a good investment. Since the sleeves are elbow length, I layered a brown long sleeve t-shirt under it for warmth.

In keeping up the polish this week, I chose to pair the teal sweater with a skirt. I chose this asymetrical brown skirt that I made (yes, I made it with my bare hands 🙂 ). I had found this faux patterned suede material I thought would make an interesting skirt, plus it has a good hand (that’s fashion speak for draping and feel of a fabric) that compliments the lines of the skirt.

The suede boots have a fun cable knit top, and are very warm as well. More vintage accessories complete the look.
